Want the best in the Inner West? We’ve got you covered at Kip Marrickville. A short stroll from Enmore Park, you’ll find your dog’s heaven on earth with us. Our animal carers will make sure that your dog has the best day ever, full of mental and physical stimulation. Then at night, they can sleep off all the fun in our comfortable rooms, before doing it all again the next day!
Whether you just need a day visit or an overnight stay, Kip Marrickville is your one-stop shop! We have both daycare and boarding options available to suit your needs.
Mon-Fri: 7:00am - 6:30pm for daycare.
Sat-Sun: 8:00am - 10:00am, and 3:00pm - 5:00 also for boarding guests.

Our dog runs into Kip. He is very excited to see the people working there. They take great care of him once or twice a week. I think he must have a good time as he’s so enthusiastic about coming back every time.

I rarely write reviews but I want to give the team at Kip Marrckville a shout. My girl Millie loves daycare but she's not the easiest doggo as she slowly learns good daycare behaviour. The Kip team have been endlessly patient, they didn't drop us on day 1, giving Millie a chance to ease in slowly and find the best days and times for her. No judgement, all kindness. Love this place!
Our puppy loves coming here. He loves it so much he visits twice a week. Lots of play with other that are well matched to home. A sleep time and a meal time (he brings a little snack) The teach him good manners and good social interaction. We get photos, videos and a ontime update on insta with all the doggos involved. The carers are very dog centric. And my pup loves each one of them to bits. It gives him excellent social skills. We are very happy to recommend them for Daycare. We havnt tried boarding with them. But may do in the future.

My dog LOVES Kip .. the girls are fantastic, they’re really good with managing the needs of the various dogs and super informative at the end of the day!!
We are so thrilled with how our little Albie is settling in! He has completed his orientation and has warmed up to the staff and his new friends so well. It’s so amazing to see his progress and be around true dog lover’s and so many beautiful friends. Absolutely 💯 happy and very much looking forward to many more visits ☺️

Kip Marrickville is just AMAZING! The staff are wonderful and our Beagle, Baby Monty, loves his Thursdays with Meringue, Peanut, Colby, Buster, and the rest of the crew!!!
Our dog Zeb has been going to Kip Marrickville for almost a year and a half, and it's his absolute favourite place in the world! They offer long hours that fits with work schedules, the trainers are all so lovely and we've really noticed improvements in our dog's socialisation when he is going regularly. Can't praise the trainers enough for the work they do!
I cannot thank the staff at Kip enough for how they have brought our dog out of his shell. We adopted a rescue greyhound, Benji. He's a great dog but he'd never been a pet before. He's had to learn how to be around strangers and small dogs. Thanks to his weekly visits to Kip, he's much calmer and gentler with the world. He's even become curious about unfamiliar things rather than hesitant. The staff have socialised him, cared for him, and treated him with the dignity he was robbed of for so many years. I cannot recommend this place more.
We’ve been using Kip for a few months now and couldn’t be happier with the care the team gives our pup, Link. We’ve tried a few different daycares, and Kip has been by far our favourite. The staff genuinely care and are hands-on with the dogs all day long. We love that they play games, match dogs by size and energy, and also know when to give them time out for naps. The daily debriefs and multiple videos of him playing are such a great touch. It’s clear they’re really paying attention and also do a bit of behavioural training too. When Link first started, he was a bit nervous around other dogs, but now he’s confident and plays so well with dogs of all breeds and sizes. We 100% recommend Kip Marrickville! They send updates while she’s there - sometimes a video, sometimes a bunch of photos - and it’s always great to see how much fun she’s having. She comes home happy and completely exhausted (in the best way). We feel so lucky to have found a place that gives her that much joy. Can’t recommend them highly enough - true peace of mind for any dog parent!
Kip Marrickville has been a lifesaver for both myself and my dog. I work in the office most days of the week and knowing he is looked after by staff who love and care for him makes the world of difference. The team at Kip have always been knowledgeable, caring and understanding and it's clear to me they have the best interests of all dogs in mind. They have helped to socialise my excitable French Bulldog (who was admittingly an under-socialised COVID puppy) as well as teach him good manners that extend beyond playtime. I will be sending him there for as long as I can!
Our girl has been going to Kip since it opened. The staff are amazing, take great care of her. The photo and video updates are such a keepsake, I especially love the Polaroids for events! Completely comfortable leaving our most precious girl with them. She comes home so happy, content and sleepy 😂

Kip Marrickville has been nothing but amazing. We started attending Kip once a week for our staffy who required some support socialising with other dogs. We were so worried she wouldn’t pass the initial assessment and that Kip wouldn’t be the right fit, however, Dia was exceptional. You could tell from the moment we brought our little girl that Dia and her team knew exactly what they were doing. We now attend Kip regularly and I couldn’t be more happier with how they look after our girl and all the skills she has learnt along the way. I can confidently take my dog out and she has no issues interacting with other dogs. I feel so safe knowing our pup is in great hands with staff that really love all the dogs. Thank you Dia and Kip Marrickville - Pip loves seeing you guys every week ❤️

Roxy had a fabulous and fun day on her first day she was so tired when I picked her up and today would be her second day at kip, Roxy was so excited to walk through the door and she couldn’t wait to meet all her furry buddies. I would definitely bringing her back to Kip The staff are amazing and I can trust them with my Roxy as they all love animals and I know she’ll be looked after by the team. Thank you all ❤️
Me and my dogs adore Kip! They get so excited to get there and love playing with all the kipsters all day. The best is that they then arrive back home tired and relaxed. The staff really care about the dogs as if they were their own and I know I don’t have to worry about them. We love Kip Marrickville!
As a new puppy mom I was anxious about sending a 5 months old to dog daycare, but Remy and her team were nothing but sweet, knowledgeable and patient with Poppy. They provided a lot of insight about her day, and celebrated progress with us. I can see Poppy is enjoying every moment at Kip with her silly smiling face, and came home with lots of improvement. Thank you team. I'm definitely a happy returning customer.

We’ve had such a positive experience with Kip Marrickville! My 5 month old puppy is quite nervous around other dogs and anxious when alone. The first couple of sessions he was so nervous to go, but he’s started racing in to greet the team and see the other dogs. It’s been great seeing his confidence grow and the kind way the team look after the dogs. The team is so lovely and Ellen in particular was so so helpful for our daycare day this week. Bertie loves going to KIP Marrickville! He is a rescue and had a difficult life before, so I was a bit worried about how he would find daycare (he was scared/shy of people and new things). The staff at KIP have really helped build his confidence and bring out his playful side. He now cries with excitement every time we pull up.
Our 2 huskies had their first ever daycare experience at Kip Marrickville Dog Day Care last week and had a ball. We are visiting Sydney from the country and now have an amazing place to look after our dogs a few days each week. The team are fantastic and caring, they take a real interest in each dog. Kip Marrickville Dog Day Care is a great place. I love going there,& taking my fur baby, who loves going there.Its pretty relaxing & Calm stepping in there.They have got a large glass window where I could see my Rusty & other doggies interact with each other, & have fun. My little sausage Boffy has been going to Kip Marrickville since he got he was around 16 weeks old. The staff at Kip really look out for him, and I really appreciate that they are honest with how Boffy is going. Boffy is always super excited to go to daycare, especially on weensdays, which is fast becoming his favourite day of the week.
Colby, my 4 month old Boxer loves going to Kip more than anything as far as I can tell. Driving him here has basically cured his car anxiety single-handedly since he is so excited about going there. I feel so comfortable taking him here on the days neither my partner nor I can stay home to take care of him. I have a feeling I might start to feel bad if we don't have a need to take him there for more than a week or so!
Buster (our Boston Terrier) has a larger than life personality and heaps of energy! Kip Marrickville are wonderful with him - unlike other day cares they’ve taken the time to understand him and work with him on how to play well with other dogs, big and small. And he has so much fun! He is exhausted when he gets home and so excited to go back for his weekly visit. The videos and socials during the day are awesome with new activities each week. We honestly couldn’t ask for a better team to take care of him.

We were so worried she wouldn’t pass the initial assessment and that Kip wouldn’t be the right fit, however, Dia was exceptional. You could tell from the moment we brought our little girl that Dia and her team knew exactly what they were doing. We now attend Kip regularly and I couldn’t be more happier with how they look after our girl and all the skills she has learnt along the way. I can confidently take my dog out and she has no issues interacting with other dogs. I feel so safe knowing our pup is in great hands with staff that really love all the dogs. You need to attend a First Day Trial before coming more regularly
We want to ensure your pup gets started on the right paw when they join the Kip family. That’s why all dogs do a first-day trial to see whether the daycare environment suits them. On this first-day trial, we encourage you to arrive before 9:00am to give your dog the best chance of success. We will give you an update throughout the day, and at pick-up, you will receive a report card, and the team will discuss a recommended attendance plan. You will also need to be available for an earlier pick-up should our staff deem that daycare is not suitable for your dog.

To attend daycare, your dog will need to be vaccinated (to C5 or above) and desexed if over 12 months. Dogs can attend their First Day Trial 10 days after their second vaccination (C5 or equivalent).

Every stay includes a comfortable room, daily playtime with our team, free photo /video updates, and premium kibble meals. You’re also welcome to tour the accommodation beforehand for extra peace of mind.

To ensure everyone’s safety, please make sure that all pets are up to date with all vaccinations, and a certificate must be presented.

How We Do Things

Our requirements are as follows:
- Daycare Vaccination Requirement: Your pet must be vaccinated, and the vaccination must be valid for the entire duration of your pet's stay.
- Puppies may attend daycare 10 days after their second puppy vaccine as long as they are C5 or equivalent.
- Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 (or equivalent) vaccination.
- Boarding Vaccination Requirement: Your pet must be vaccinated and the vaccination must be valid for the entire duration of your pet's stay.
- Puppies may board 10 days after their final puppy vaccines as long as they are C5 or equivalent.
- Kittens may board 10 days after their final kitten vaccines as long as they are F3 or equivalent.
- Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 (or equivalent) vaccination.
- Cats must have an up-to-date F3 vaccination.
- 10-Day Rule: If your pet's previous vaccination had lapsed by more than 14 days, the new vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before the check-in date.
- Vaccination Documentation: You are required to provide us with evidence of your pet's current vaccination (and immediate prior vaccination if checking in within 10 days of their most recent vaccination)
- De-sexing Policy: Dogs must be de-sexed by 12 months.
- Please note that we don't take dogs that are in heat. If your dog comes into heat during their visit, you or an emergency contact will need to pick them up.
A Kip day starts bright and early at 7am, giving you plenty of time to drop off your furry friend on the way to work. Your dog’s day will be divided into two play sessions, morning and afternoon, and is broken up with quiet time in between to relax and recharge. This balance ensures that every dog has a great time without being overwhelmed and goes home looking forward to their next visit.
Your dog will come out of their room first thing for a morning play session, then return to their room for some delicious brekkie. After breakfast, they’ll rejoin the daycare group for more socialisation and enrichment, before heading off for their daily walk. As the day comes to a close, it’s time for dinner in their room, and once they’re all fed and tired, your dog can kick back and relax in their comfy bed, ready for a kip.
Groups are generally based on size, personality and play style so that your pup can enjoy their time with their BFFs (best furry friends!). Our animal handlers will also switch around groups as needed so that your dog gets the best out of every stay.
Safety is our number one priority. All dogs in our care are fully vaccinated and have passed their trial day before joining. Our floors are also non-slip and water-resistant, and our fences dig-proof.
The late cancellation charge allows us to reallocate your reservation to another pup if you cannot attend your session. This late cancellation/no-show charge applies to customers who fail to cancel a daycare visit by 5pm the day prior to the reservation.
