Our girls (dog and kitty cat) have stayed at Kip Lake Macquarie a few times, most recently for 4 weeks during April/May. They were both really well cared for and given lots of individual attention and cuddles. Daily videos received on our email were a great way of letting us know they were okay and allayed our fears that they might miss us.

Mounisha Sanjiv

Our dog, Sushi had never been boarded before, and while he’s a pretty happy boy that loves people, we were naturally very worried when we found ourselves having to board him for 2 weeks. But everyone at Kip was so wonderful in easing our nerves, right from the get go. We did the board & train program and Georgia was so wonderful with him. From being extra patient during the first few days when he didn’t want to come out of his shell, to going above and beyond with coaching him on the behaviours we wanted to work on. She gave us regular updates on how he was doing and how his training was progressing so we didn’t have to worry while he was gone. And when our personal situation changed and Sushi’s stay needed to go from 2 weeks to 3, even though it was over an incredibly busy period for Kip, Georgia worked with us to keep Sushi there for as long as we needed. Since coming home, he’s been a very happy boy, rarely feels the need to bark anymore (previously, any tiny thing would have set him off) and his training has come such a long way. Genuinely could not be more grateful to Georgia and the team, and definitely recommend Kip!

Luna has come so far with the dedicated training from Georgia and Amanda. Highly recommend the board and train service if you are struggling with any behaviour from your dog.

Nathan Crumbley

Our dogs were well cared for, updates on how the dogs (with short videos) came through for peace of mind and we'll be using this service again.

Staff are wonderful - professional, patient and caring. Our pooch is still a work in progress but he learned heaps at Kip and his future is looking brighter. Ongoing day care training will help both pooch and owner!

Thanking all the friendly caring staff at Kips for looking after our baby. She has stayed with Kips may times now and has become home from home, making our travel plans much easier, and giving us peace of mind knowing our baby will be well taken care off where she can socialize in a friendly safe environment with her furry friends. We highly recommend Kips to anyone wishing to board their best fiends. Graham & Hanna - Halekulani

My dog, Ollie, recently stayed at Kip Lake Macquarie for the Board and Train programme. I was an anxious mess leading up to his stay as we’ve never done boarding and I’ve had negative experiences with dog trainers in the past who have suggested poor methods. On arrival, you can see and feel the passion and love the team at Kip have for animals. I knew Ollie would be a bit of a difficult egg to crack, but Amanda and the team at Kip applied their expertise and passion to help Ollie and our home life. Before Kip, Ollie was almost entirely unwalkable, he would drag me down the street and could be abit of an escape artist when it came to harnesses and collars. He has selective dog reactivity (he’s not a fan of most male dogs), and I would struggle to retain his attention if we came across one. He also suffers from noise sensitivity; lawn mowers, the odd airplane, and of all things, the bell on our local ice cream truck! After Kip, Ollie now knows how to walk loose leash, and we are able to regain his attention if he sees a trigger. Ollie has learnt different commands through the power of positive reinforcement. The at home training modules were very beneficial in teaching us and instilling confidence in the methods that we would be using once he came back home. You receive photo and video updates throughout the stay which is great. You also get an hour to two hour handover at the end where the trainer will teach you everything they have worked on with your dog. You also get a handover email listing any equipment/toys/food etc. Kip will not “fix” all issues within 3 weeks, but set up the structure for ongoing training to create a more positive home environment for everyone. Would definitely recommend this investment to everyone!
