What is Dog Grooming?

The Benefits of Regular Dog Grooming

Aside from just looking clean and cared for, regularly grooming your dog helps to maintain a healthy coat and skin. It also gives your groomer the chance to inspect the skin and coat during their groom and catch any problem that may be hidden due to their fur.

Grooming also removes any old, damaged and dead hair and skin cells that may cause your dog discomfort, especially around sensitive spots such as their eyes and ears, and prevents matted hair from forming. Regular brushing also distributes the natural oils throughout your dog’s coat, keeping their coats looking shiny and healthy.

Dog Grooming without the Headache!

Whether it's after a day of playing with their best mates or they just need a little extra pampering, we do it all! Your dog can enjoy getting brushed, bathed, blowdried and more by our certified groomers so that they're fresh and clean for you (without all the headaches that normally come with a fidgety wet dog). You can also pair it with a day of daycare and pick up your dog at the end of the day when they’re clean and tired.

Dog Grooming without the Headache!

Professionally Groomed by our Certified Team

We know that not all dog parents have the knowledge or equipment to groom their dog. Not only do our trained groomers have the skill and expertise to give your pup a makeover, but they also know what signs to look for during the groom that may suggest underlying health issues, such as ear infections or poor skin conditions.

Our groomers also have plenty of experience under their belt and are able to groom dogs of all shapes and sizes. From Teddy Bear Cuts for those cute little oodles to Summer Cuts for those warmer days, our groomers will be able to assist and advise.

How much does professional dog grooming cost?

There are a few factors that will determine the cost of your dog’s groom: weight, type of grooming service and the condition of their coat. For the most accurate quote, contact us directly.

How long will it take to groom my pet?

The duration of your groom will depend on the type of grooming service you booked and the size of your dog. Generally, a full groom for a small dog will be around 1.5 hours.

What vaccinations does my dog require before grooming?

Your dog must have current and up-to-date vaccinations (C5 or equivalent), and a certificate must be presented prior to your groom. Your dog’s flea and tick treatment must also be up to date.

For the safety of all other dogs in our care, we do also require you to meet our desexing requirements. These may vary by state, so feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

How often should my dog be groomed?

In general, you should groom your dog every 6-8 weeks. This is beneficial for your dog as it helps to keep their coat clean and healthy.

What is the minimum age my dog can be groomed?

We’d suggest treating your puppy to their full grooming session around 6 months of age. However, it’s wise to start them off with small grooming sessions like a tidy-up at 10-12 weeks old, as soon as they’ve received their second vaccination. The earlier your puppy feels relaxed and comfortable being groomed, the easier the process will be in the long term.

Is professional dog grooming okay for my nervous / anxious dog?

Absolutely! Regular grooming is beneficial for dogs who suffer from anxiety or are a little nervous, as it can help them to become familiar with the process. It’s important to note that it may take several grooms before they’re full comfortable and will allow our groomers to give them a full groom. We will inform you of this and provide feedback on how to make grooming a positive experience for your dog.

Can my dog be groomed during their daycare day?

You can pair your dog’s groom with a day of daycare! Drop them off in the morning and when you pick them up, they’ll be all clean and tired for you!
