The beautiful Hunter Valley is home to some of the most famous wineries, vineyards, and of course, Kip Hunter Valley! Our world-class resort sits on 10 acres of lush, spacious grounds and is surrounded by countless bushwalking trails that epitomise natural beauty.
Monday-Friday: 8:00-11:00am, 2:00-5:00pm
Saturday: 8:00-11:00am
Sunday: 2:00-5:00pm
Public Holidays: as advised
We offer door-to-door transport across Sydney and also the Newcastle region. This service is run Monday to Friday (subject to availability) and is not offered on public holidays. This service can be added as part of the booking process and takes the stress out of getting your pet to or from their holiday.
With spacious, grassy yards and custom-built facilities, your dog can enjoy bushwalks in the great outdoors, or play in our Doggy Water Park. There’s something for every pet so choose Kip Hunter Valley for your pets’ next stay.

We recently boarded our dog Poppy at Kip for 4 nights and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. It was reassuring to know Poppy was staying in a safe and hygienic environment. Communication throughout her stay was excellent. We received updates that kept us informed and reassured that she was being well looked after. It really made a difference knowing she was in good hands. Overall, we are extremely happy with Kip Hunter Valley and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended!
My puppies first stay and I was nervous. She was looked after with so much love and care. She also had training which I highly recommend. She will be returning whenever we are on holiday. Thank you to all the carers and trainers.
Our rescue greyhound, Bluey, enjoyed his first stay at Kip Hunter Valley. The carers looked after him as if he were their own dog, giving him their time and affection. We received daily videos of Bluey at playtime with other dogs. Thank you Kip!
The smile on our big fella's face says it all. We cannot speak highly enough of the team at Kip Hunter Valley Cat & Boarding Kennels. Our big fella suffers anxiety when he's not with my partner, but there was no signs of anxiety when staying at Kip's. We received 2 videos a day, including of his "swim time", which the team improvised when he wasn't sure about getting in the pond and they set up a sprinkler for him instead. Eventually they coached him into the pond, which was hilarious to see on video. When we picked our big fella up, he would have happily stayed longer, as he kept playing with the girls even though we were there to pick him up. If we could give more than 5 stars we would, we'll definitely be dropping our big fella off for more holiday's at Kip's. Thanks Kip's team, you're all AMAZING.

I just dropped my beautiful boy odie off to Kip Hunter Valley for a 4 week stay whilst I’m away for work. Ange was absolutely amazing with us from the minute we rocked up, she knows and understands German shepherds and especially my boy who can be anxious and timid around new people. (He is also dog reactive). She spent time allowing Odie to come to her and get him in a comfortable zone before taking him through. I cannot thank Ange enough for also showing me the beautiful facility and how they love and care for everyone’s pets like their own. Thank you again Ange and the team at Hunter Valley for looking after my boy odie ❤️🐾 Kip is the only boarding place I trust with my boy and I’ve been using them since 2024!!

After hearing great feedback from family members who have used their services before, our dog Charlie had his first multi-day boarding experience with Kip. We were probably more anxious than he was about going, but he appeared to have a lovely time. The daily videos were much appreciated so we could see him having fun during playtime, but we were most impressed by our interactions with the staff. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly and enthusiastic about having Charlie stay - they were incredibly reassuring about how he was settling in, which eased our anxiety about having him away from home for the first time. We would happily use Kip again.
We put our two dogs Archie & Odin into Kip Hunter Valley for 12 nights for our holiday to Japan. Our boys were very well looked after, I received 2-3 videos each day that I could watch to make sure they were okay, which was reassuring and made us feel comfortable, they were also extremely spoilt with cuddles, walks, and play time. All the staff were lovely and cared for our boys like their own. We highly recommend this facility and assure you that you will not be disappointed! Thanks again to the staff at Kip Hunter Valley. 🙂
Absolutely fantastic ! My Border Collie really enjoyed her stay here. I had her booked in for types of play- bush walk , water play & play time with friends. The staff match your dog with others of the same temperament ( if they enjoy the company of other dogs ). You also get a little video of your pooch enjoying their activities ! I absolutely loved these , especially as I was anxious about my BC being away for the first time , and they put my mind at ease. I also like the fact that you can tailor your pets care ( holiday ) to suit them, with different types of activities and social time - in a group or on their own. The venue is secure and clean & the staff are lovely.
Our cat Luna has stayed at Kip 3 times. The current stay is 3 weeks while we are abroad. The booking was easy, I modified the days and there was no trouble or issue. Luna was collected by a lovely person who asked if my cat would be more comfortable at the front with her (driver) or the back. I thought this was very thoughtful and honestly above and beyond what I expected from the collection. Everyday we receive a video at no extra charge, it’s beautiful touch and makes being away from her easier. Thank you 🙏 to the team you are outstanding.
Highly recommend Kip Hunter Valley. Our dog is fully blind and can be very nervous, and they took care of him so well. They send daily updates which is very reassuring, and the staff seem to genuinely love spending time with the pets. The facilities are excellent and there are plenty of booking options (eg private rooms and add ons) so your pet has a good time.
Our dog loved staying at Kip. We have had a few issues previously with other boarding places as our dog can get anxiety sometimes and can get a bit funny with food. However he 1000% loved his stay at Kip i think the outdoor area really helps. We would re book in a heart beat and highly recommend to anyone thinking about using. The daily updates were fab and the bath at the end was also a great touch!
Honey was at a holiday inn rather than a boarding kennel (prison). We were able to pay for daily walks and play sessions, which we were very grateful for. We received a daily video of her play sessions, which we really appreciated. She was very well looked after and appeared to actually enjoy her little holiday. Highly recommended.
The BEST facility ever. They truly take the time to get to know you, your dogs and really understand their different personalities and needs. Their messages, video updates were all so detailed, I felt so relieved right from the firstday. The pawcertificates and report cards were the icing on the cake. Definitely highly recommend. To note that they were willing to work with my dog reactive people reactive one too. The many others I contacted refused to take her in. Not here, they truly cared and worked with her everyday!
What an amazing first experience with KIP at Sawyer’s Gully ♥️ Our dog Harley had an amazing time and we received daily videos on how he was going. The staff are dedicated and treat our pets like their own whilst making sure we can have a guilt free trip away✨ Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking a place to Home their dog whilst they are away💫 as KIP Is definitely a Home away from Home and not a dog kennel ♥️
I’ve had a wonderful experience with Kip. My two dogs Ollie and Alfie have never been in boarding before, were in boarding with Kip for four weeks. During this time I received daily videos and photos of my boys playing with the other dogs, playing fetch, swimming in the little creek or just getting tickles. I could see that they were happy and felt safe and secure. I actually thought they were having so much fun they wouldn’t want to come home! Kip picked up my dogs from the Central Coast then delivered them home to me. When Ollie and Alfie arrived home, they were happy, calm and relaxed. I can’t recommend Kip enough. I felt from the first phone call to them right through to the boys being delivered home, they were really loved while they were there.. not just looked after.

Our rescue greyhound, Bluey, enjoyed his first stay at Kip Hunter Valley. The carers looked after him as if he were their own dog, giving him their time and affection. We received daily videos of Bluey at playtime with other dogs. Thank you Kip!
The smile on our big fella's face says it all. We cannot speak highly enough of the team at Kip Hunter Valley Cat & Boarding Kennels. Our big fella suffers anxiety when he's not with my partner, but there was no signs of anxiety when staying at Kip's. We received 2 videos a day, including of his "swim time", which the team improvised when he wasn't sure about getting in the pond and they set up a sprinkler for him instead. Eventually they coached him into the pond, which was hilarious to see on video. When we picked our big fella up, he would have happily stayed longer, as he kept playing with the girls even though we were there to pick him up. If we could give more than 5 stars we would, we'll definitely be dropping our big fella off for more holiday's at Kip's. Thanks Kip's team, you're all AMAZING.

I just dropped my beautiful boy odie off to Kip Hunter Valley for a 4 week stay whilst I’m away for work. Ange was absolutely amazing with us from the minute we rocked up, she knows and understands German shepherds and especially my boy who can be anxious and timid around new people. (He is also dog reactive). She spent time allowing Odie to come to her and get him in a comfortable zone before taking him through. I cannot thank Ange enough for also showing me the beautiful facility and how they love and care for everyone’s pets like their own. Thank you again Ange and the team at Hunter Valley for looking after my boy odie ❤️🐾 Kip is the only boarding place I trust with my boy and I’ve been using them since 2024!!

After hearing great feedback from family members who have used their services before, our dog Charlie had his first multi-day boarding experience with Kip. We were probably more anxious than he was about going, but he appeared to have a lovely time. The daily videos were much appreciated so we could see him having fun during playtime, but we were most impressed by our interactions with the staff. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly and enthusiastic about having Charlie stay - they were incredibly reassuring about how he was settling in, which eased our anxiety about having him away from home for the first time. We would happily use Kip again.
We put our two dogs Archie & Odin into Kip Hunter Valley for 12 nights for our holiday to Japan. Our boys were very well looked after, I received 2-3 videos each day that I could watch to make sure they were okay, which was reassuring and made us feel comfortable, they were also extremely spoilt with cuddles, walks, and play time. All the staff were lovely and cared for our boys like their own. We highly recommend this facility and assure you that you will not be disappointed! Thanks again to the staff at Kip Hunter Valley. 🙂
Absolutely fantastic ! My Border Collie really enjoyed her stay here. I had her booked in for types of play- bush walk , water play & play time with friends. The staff match your dog with others of the same temperament ( if they enjoy the company of other dogs ). You also get a little video of your pooch enjoying their activities ! I absolutely loved these , especially as I was anxious about my BC being away for the first time , and they put my mind at ease. I also like the fact that you can tailor your pets care ( holiday ) to suit them, with different types of activities and social time - in a group or on their own. The venue is secure and clean & the staff are lovely.
Our cat Luna has stayed at Kip 3 times. The current stay is 3 weeks while we are abroad. The booking was easy, I modified the days and there was no trouble or issue. Luna was collected by a lovely person who asked if my cat would be more comfortable at the front with her (driver) or the back. I thought this was very thoughtful and honestly above and beyond what I expected from the collection. Everyday we receive a video at no extra charge, it’s beautiful touch and makes being away from her easier. Thank you 🙏 to the team you are outstanding.
Highly recommend Kip Hunter Valley. Our dog is fully blind and can be very nervous, and they took care of him so well. They send daily updates which is very reassuring, and the staff seem to genuinely love spending time with the pets. The facilities are excellent and there are plenty of booking options (eg private rooms and add ons) so your pet has a good time.
Our dog loved staying at Kip. We have had a few issues previously with other boarding places as our dog can get anxiety sometimes and can get a bit funny with food. However he 1000% loved his stay at Kip i think the outdoor area really helps. We would re book in a heart beat and highly recommend to anyone thinking about using. The daily updates were fab and the bath at the end was also a great touch!
Honey was at a holiday inn rather than a boarding kennel (prison). We were able to pay for daily walks and play sessions, which we were very grateful for. We received a daily video of her play sessions, which we really appreciated. She was very well looked after and appeared to actually enjoy her little holiday. Highly recommended.
The BEST facility ever. They truly take the time to get to know you, your dogs and really understand their different personalities and needs. Their messages, video updates were all so detailed, I felt so relieved right from the firstday. The pawcertificates and report cards were the icing on the cake. Definitely highly recommend. To note that they were willing to work with my dog reactive people reactive one too. The many others I contacted refused to take her in. Not here, they truly cared and worked with her everyday!
What an amazing first experience with KIP at Sawyer’s Gully ♥️ Our dog Harley had an amazing time and we received daily videos on how he was going. I’ve had a wonderful experience with Kip. My two dogs Ollie and Alfie have never been in boarding before, were in boarding with Kip for four weeks. During this time I received daily videos and photos of my boys playing with the other dogs, playing fetch, swimming in the little creek or just getting tickles. I could see that they were happy and felt safe and secure. I actually thought they were having so much fun they wouldn’t want to come home! Kip picked up my dogs from the Central Coast then delivered them home to me. When Ollie and Alfie arrived home, they were happy, calm and relaxed. I can’t recommend Kip enough. I felt from the first phone call to them right through to the boys being delivered home, they were really loved while they were there.. not just looked after.

As a very anxious fur parent, I would only recommend Kip Hunter Valley to care for your pups! My border collie, Junior, had never boarded before and as our precious fur child we were nervous.. these nerves quickly went away, Junior had the most fantastic time, I received video updates, one after just 20 minutes of being there! This soothed my worries and helped me remember what safe and loving hands he was in at Kip. The welcome in reception was what topped it off, the staff showed such genuine excitement to meet Junior, showering him with cuddles and preparing him for a happy stay. Upon pickup, I could tell Junior had a ball! Thanks team! ❤️❤️

Ange, Caitlyn, Katherine and team at Kip Hunter Valley are amazing to work with - excellent commuication with pet specifics. We had our French Bulldog board with Kip during our wedding in 2024, and they provided an amazing chaperone service so we could be part of our ceremony (ring bearer, and massive shoutout to Jane his handler!). We later boarded him a few nights when we went for a domestic trip, which was stressful knowing Frenchies can experience seperation anxiety... he was perfectly fine and didn't seem to miss us at all. More recently our boy stayed with kip for 32 nights whilst we were overseas - Kip provided multiple daily updates and social activities to keep our boy stimulated. I was actually disappointed by the reaction we got after over 4 weeks away - He was relatively chill on our return, which is a testament that he thouroughly enjoyed his time at Sawyers Gully, and was well loved and cared for! For those concerned about boarding prices, they are very reasonable, and what you get vs a "traditional kennel", is more of pet resort; the rooms are spacious, and the pets have the opportunity to socialise, and the staff truly love your pets. These are the major selling points for us, instead of going with a sit-in carer etc. I really can't recommend Kip Hunter Valley enough - we will be back for sure with confidence knowing our boy is in the best hands!!! p.s. the door to door drop off services in Sydney is incredible!

What an amazing team and facility. We recently found ourselves relocating homes and had to put our old cat Oliver into Kip Hunter Valley for a while. He’s spent time in several catteries before but NEVER have we had such wonderful communication, daily videos of him being loved and such kind staff. Keep doing what you’re doing team … you guys ROCK

Upon arrival we were greeted enthusiastically and talked through what will happen during Boofs stay. I was kept updated with photos and videos and he seemed to have a great time playing with the staff. At collection they ran us through how Boof went with other dogs and the staff there. I will definitely be booking with Kip again and highly recommend to other dog and cat owners!

He was well taken care of by the wonderful caring staff. KIP will be THE only place I will leave him in the future. The staff is remarkable!!!!

KIP go above and beyond for their customers and pets! The staff are all very lovely and professional when it comes to handling dogs and they treat them as if they are their own. My pups have been there 2x now and they definitely look sad to leave… that shows a lot! Thanks for everything team. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

The staff were amazing—friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about the dogs in their care. I especially appreciated the daily videos of my dog's playtime, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. The facilities were spotless and well-maintained, and communication from the team was exceptional throughout the entire stay. I felt completely confident that my dog was in safe and loving hands. I highly recommend Kip to anyone looking for quality boarding services. We'll definitely be returning!

The staff are all so lovely and caring for the dogs and the multiple daily videos helps ease your concerns while away. They also have a great pickup/drop off procedure that’s so easy.

Highly recommendable at Kip Hunter Valley. My dog had such a wonderful time , I’m not sure if she wants to be back home now. I have been receiving daily updates and activity feeds , watching my baby having such fun time and being loved and pampered. My dog has a lot of health issues, so before her stay, I drove to view the place and spoke to Ange, the lady in charge. She managed to make me feel totally at ease, v kind and approachable. I’ve already booked the next vacation for my baby.
We had a great experience with Kip Hunter Valley, after having a bad experience with another kennel I was quite nervous but they were amazing. The facility itself is lovely and very clean and the staff are so kind. They provided us with daily check ins and pictures which we really loved and our pup Rain came back looking healthy and happy. It was so cute that they gave us a report card and take home picture! We will definitely be using Kip again!
What an amazing team and facility. We recently found ourselves relocating homes and had to put our old cat Oliver into Kip Hunter Valley for a while. He’s spent time in several catteries before but NEVER have we had such wonderful communication, daily videos of him being loved and such kind staff. Keep doing what you’re doing team … you guys ROCK

The team at Kip made me feel comfortable leaving my puppy Boof for an overnight stay after not having a good experience at another dog boarding facility. Upon arrival we were greeted enthusiastically and talked through what will happen during Boofs stay. I was kept updated with photos and videos and he seemed to have a great time playing with the staff. At collection they ran us through how Boof went with other dogs and the staff there. I will definitely be booking with Kip again and highly recommend to other dog and cat owners!

This was the first time I left my baby with anyone and was really uncomfortably leaving him. I got daily updates. KIP Took excellent care of him. Gave him his medication. He was well taken care of by the wonderful caring staff. KIP will be THE only place I will leave him in the future. The staff is remarkable!!!!

This was our first time boarding our dogs so I was very nervous with how it would go but we had an amazing experience. We got daily updates with photos and videos that really put me at ease. When I picked them up they didn’t even want to come home which I feel says a lot about their experience! As a bonus they were given a bath before we picked them up! Staff were lovely and gave us great feedback about their stay. Really happy with our experience and would definitely use this service again. Thank you to all the staff!
KIP go above and beyond for their customers and pets! The staff are all very lovely and professional when it comes to handling dogs and they treat them as if they are their own. As pet pawrents ourselves, we know that leaving your pet for the first time can be stressful! That’s why we’ve created a boarding experience that feels like a true retreat. Every stay includes a comfortable room, daily playtime with our team, free photo /video updates, and premium kibble meals. You’re also welcome to tour the accommodation beforehand for extra peace of mind.
Whether your dog’s racing around our grassy yards or your cat’s lounging in the sun, we’re confident they’ll love their stay.
To ensure everyone’s safety, please make sure that all pets are up to date with all vaccinations, and a certificate must be presented.

Our vaccination policy for pet boarding is as follows:
Vaccination Requirement: Your pet must be vaccinated, and the vaccination must be valid for the entire duration of your pet's stay.
- Puppies may board 10 days after their final puppy vaccines as long as they are C5 or equivalent.
- Kittens may board 10 days after their final kitten vaccines as long as they are F3 or equivalent.
- Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 (or equivalent) vaccination.
- Cats must have an up-to-date F3 vaccination.
10-Day Rule: If your pet's previous vaccination had lapsed by more than 14 days, the new vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before the check-in date.
Vaccination Documentation: You are required to provide proof of your pet’s current vaccination. If your pet is checking in within 10 days of their most recent vaccination, we also require the certificate from their immediate prior vaccination.
We are able to care for pets if they’re not desexed. We do not take dogs in heat across our centres. To the extent your dog comes into heat whilst in our care, we will require an emergency contact to pick them up within 24 hours of being notified. We will not accommodate entire males in the same room as undesexed females.
We provide door-to-door transport from major metro cities for $35 one way. You will be contacted by the driver with an estimated arrival time the day before your booking commences.
Absolutely! Simply contact us directly so our team can organise the best time for you to tour the premises.
Absolutely! For an extra $6/pet/day, we can administer medication to your pets. Please provide all medication in a marked vet bag and provide enough medication for the entire duration of their stay.
We sure can, for an extra fee of $3.50/day! Please provide all required food, clearly marked and labelled. Please inform staff if your dog has any food allergies.
