Professional Board and Train Programs for Your Dog
Kip’s Board and Train programs are designed to give your dog the chance to learn practical, real-world skills in a supportive, structured environment.
Your dog will stay at our purpose-built boarding facilities, typically for 3 weeks, and receive multiple training sessions a day with their dedicated trainer on a plan tailored to their needs.
Our goal isn’t to “fix” behaviour but to help your dog build solid foundations and to give you the tools to keep things going at home.

What is a Board and Train Program?
The Board and Train Program is a structured training experience where your dog stays with us while learning key skills and behaviours that you and your trainer agreed on. It’s more than a boarding stay, and is a chance for your dog to work one-on-one with a professional trainer each day in a calm, consistent environment.
The training doesn’t stop when the program ends either. You’ll take part in a hands-on handover session with your trainer, where you’ll practise the skills your dog has been working on with guidance and coaching from your trainer as you go. This helps you feel confident carrying the training through at home. You’ll also have access to ongoing support, including the option for refresher stays if your dog needs a boost down the track.
By living the routine, not just practising it, your dog learns in a way that sticks.
Who Can Benefit from Our Board and Train Services?
Our dog boarding and training programs are a great option for dogs (and owners) at all stages. It’s especially helpful if:
- Your dog’s behaviour is starting to feel overwhelming
- You’ve tried other training approaches but need a fresh start
- You’re after a strong foundation for your puppy
We regularly support dogs who:
- Pull on the lead
- Jump up on people
- React to other dogs or get distracted easily
- Don’t come when called
- Struggle to settle at home
Why Choose Kip for Your Dog's Training Needs?
At Kip, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our trainers take the time to understand your dog: their quirks, their challenges, and what motivates them. With years of experience and countless success stories behind us, we focus on practical, positive training that sets dogs (and their owners) up for real-world success.
You’ll also have access to our online learning platform, packed with helpful resources, plus a personal handover session with your trainer where you practice the methods used by our trainers so you feel confident continuing the progress at home. All training tools used throughout the program will also be provided for you to take home.
You can also book refresher sessions after the completion of the program if you feel your dog would benefit from some extra support. There is no minimum stay required and our trainers are more than happy to help reinforce their new skills.
When to Consider a Board and Train Program
Every dog learns differently, and sometimes home or the dog park just isn't the easiest place to make progress. If training feels frustrating or you’re not seeing the results you hoped for, a dog boarding and training program can give your dog the structure and support they need to improve.
You might want to consider dog Board and Train program if:
- Walks are becoming stressful because your dog pulls, reacts to other dogs, or gets easily distracted
- You find yourself repeating commands, and your dog only listens when it suits them
- Your dog’s energy feels hard to manage and it's impacting your home life
- You’ve tried group classes or at-home training, but nothing seems to stick
- You're heading away and want your dog to learn while you're gone
- You're a new dog owner looking to get things right from the start
- You're feeling stuck and unsure of what to try next
Asking for help is a sign of care, not failure. A few weeks with the right guidance in the right environment can give your dog the chance to settle, learn, and build better habits, and help you both feel more confident moving forward.

Our Board and Train Package
Every dog is different, which means their training journey should be too. At Kip, we don’t offer a one-size-fits-all program. Instead, we tailor the length of each dog’s stay based on their age, needs, and the behaviours you’re hoping to work on.
Whether your dog is still in the puppy stage or a little older and needing a reset, our team will work with you to recommend a plan that suits your goals. Before your dog starts, you’ll have the chance to chat with one of our trainers who will guide you through what to expect and help determine the right approach.
