Things To Know for Dog Daycare in Victoria

Before your dog becomes a regular daycare attendee, they will come in for a First Day Trial to ensure they are comfortable and the daycare environment is suitable for them.

Every dog has a unique personality, so we assess them to ensure they are receiving the right level of enrichment during their time with us.

For the safety and health of all dogs, your dog must be vaccinated (C5 or equivalent) and desexed by 12 months. Dogs can attend their First Day Trial 10 days after receiving their second vaccination (C5 or equivalent).

Frequently Asked Questions

What vaccinations are needed for dog daycare?

For your dog to attend daycare, they must have:

  • Dogs can attend 10 days after their second C5 vaccine (or equivalent).
  • An up to date vaccination certificate uploaded into your Customer Portal.

Does my dog need to be desexed for daycare?

Yes, dogs must be desexed by the time they are 12 months old, and we cannot accept dogs in heat. If your dog comes into heat during daycare, we will notify you to arrange a prompt pick-up.

Will my dog be suitable for daycare?

Daycare is often an enriching experience for majority of dogs, but we do find that sometimes the environment can be too stimulating for your dog.

That’s why we have our First Day Trial to determine if your dog will have a good time at Kip, and we will not recommend continued daycare for any dogs showing high levels of stress in the environment.
