We offer door-to-door transport across Sydney and also the Newcastle region. This service is run Monday to Friday (subject to availability) and is not offered on public holidays. This service can be added as part of the booking process and takes the stress out of getting your pet to or from their holiday.
Leaving your pup can be scary, so we deliver free, regular updates (or pup-dates) right to your phone, so you know they’re having fun! You are also welcome to call us during your pet's stay to get an update about how your pet is doing.

Sending our toy cavoodle, Marlo, to the 3-week board and train program at Kip Lake Macquarie was the best decision we have ever made. Before the program, we were constantly dealing with jumping, nuisance barking around the house, a poor recall and intense emotional reactiveness. It was stressful for both us and Marlo, but the results from this program have given us peace of mind and direction. Marlo has experienced a massive shift in mindset, our little guy is much calmer and handles his old triggers so much better! Our trainer, Irish, was great throughout the entire process sending us many updates in emails photos and videos. It made us feel completely safe leaving Marlo in such capable, professional hands as he laid the foundations for our dog. What we appreciated most was the seamless handover at the end of the stay. Irish gave us clear instructions to maintain Marlo's great new behaviors at home. We could not recommend Kip enough for training or boarding!
Kip is great. We always receive great updates when the dogs stay there and the team is great! We did invest and send one dog to the training program and cannot recommend this more! Mars came back calm & happy to keep learning. Thanks for always taking great care of our dogs. 🐶
I honestly cannot recommend Irish and the team at Kip Lake Macquarie highly enough. From the moment Astrid started the program, I received regular updates including photos and videos which made me feel so reassured and involved in her progress the entire time she was there. You can tell the team genuinely care about the dogs and the outcomes they achieve. They also gave me access to a training program so I could learn alongside Astrid and continue reinforcing everything at home, which I really appreciated. The handover session alone was incredible. Irish spent around 2 hours with me going through everything properly, showing me how much Astrid had improved, explaining her training clearly, and making sure I understood how to continue everything at home. It never felt rushed and he was so patient, supportive, and passionate about helping both Astrid and me succeed long term. Astrid has already shown noticeable improvements in her engagement, focus, responsiveness, loose leash walking, and ability to stay calmer around distractions. I also really appreciated that they carefully exposed her to different environments as she became ready, rather than rushing her or overwhelming her. What stood out most to me was how realistic and honest the training was. Irish explained what foundations had been built, what still needs work, and gave me a clear and achievable plan to continue progressing at home. The communication, professionalism, support, and genuine care really stood out to me. You can tell this is far more than “just a job” to Irish. At one point he even said he was going to miss Astrid, and when I mentioned it must be hard saying goodbye to the dogs he works with, he told me that is actually the hardest part of his job. That really stuck with me because you can genuinely see how much he cares about the animals, the owners, and helping dogs succeed in the real world. The program is definitely an investment, but in my opinion it was absolutely worth it for the level of care, communication, support, and knowledge we received. I’m extremely grateful for everything they’ve done for Astrid and I would absolutely recommend Irish and the team to anyone considering training for their dog.

We had a great experience with the board and train program at Kip Lake Macquarie. Our two dogs finished the program calmer, more settled and with new skills. They have also been better able to engage in training since they got home. The handover was really good and we feel much better equipped to continue their training. The trainers were excellent and it was clear they really care about connecting with the dogs and tailoring the training to their personalities. Would recommend!

My girls had a great experience staying at Kip Lake Macquarie and you could tell by the daily Pupdate videos that they really enjoyed the one on one time with the staff.
To everyone who is thinking about getting training for there dog I highly recommend them,we took our Rottweiler Sage nicknamed satin spawn and returned a lot better. With the training they showed us it will be an ongoing process. Irish was the lead trainer and he was fantastic but a big thank you to all the guys and girls who worked with her, and the weekly updates keep us informed with her progress, watching Irish working with Sage he made it look so easy he has a good connection with our girl,,,,, the 3week training course is what she needed. Big thank you to everyone at Kip 👍👍👍

I found the staff very helpful and caring, I had my two blue cattle dogs boarded there for 13 days, 3rd time for the older one and 1st time for the 2 and half year old, I received daily updates by video This really put me at ease, the communication was great. Highly Recommend
Amazing place! Irish trained our dog Prince for 3 weeks and did an amazing job. Before Prince was very reactive, would jump up and would sometimes come to his name and now he's a different dog. We understand now how Prince functions out in public and needs his space, he doesn't jump up anymore and comes back to his name. His loose leash walking has improved. Thank you so very much to Irish and the Kip team. You were so amazing and always kept us informed of Prince's progress, we are very happy with the result and will continue with his training :)
We left Bailey at Kip Lake Macquarie for a 3-week board and train program, and the results were incredible. Before the program, she was highly reactive — barking, jumping, and struggling on walks. Her trainer, Irish, was fantastic. He built a strong bond with her, understood her personality, and clearly cared about her progress. The care was exceptional, with regular video updates that reassured us and showed her improvement. By the handover, Bailey was calmer, more focused, and walking beautifully on a loose leash. She has settled back at home wonderfully, and we’re continuing to use the techniques we were taught. Trainers like Irish truly make a difference — we’re incredibly grateful to him and the whole team.
KIP Lake Macquaire has looked after my girl twice. The first time was an overnight stay and the second was a 2 week stay. I can not recommend KIP enough! I travelled from Penrith all the way up to Lake Macquaire area because I trusted them with my fur baby! The daily photos and videos provided on the online portal are not only comforting while you're not with your baby, they let you see them florish and have fun while they are there. Everyone that works there are amazing with the animals and you can tell they are all animal lovers themselves. My girl is extremely nervous and shy around strangers and in new enviroments so during her longer stay I booked her in for training days to work on her confidence and help with her nerves around new people. She was not always fond of some males due to previous experiences before I rescued her when she was younger so I was delightfully surprised to see her working really well and loving trainer Irish during her time there. In the videos you could see my girl absolutely adored him and he even got cuddles and was allowed to give her favourite bum scratches. The daily report cards of her progress was also something I looked forward to so I was able to see her continued growth and a final report cards of her overall stay really showed that see settled in knowing she was eating as normal and going to the toilet regularly (she doesn't when she is in strangers places). If you're needing a place for your fur baby to stay and your wondering where to board them, KIP is definitely the place :)

We had such a wonderful experience with Kip dog training. We got Saint back today and it was so lovely to see the bond he built with his trainer, Irish — you can really tell how much care and time went into working with him. Saint will miss him dearly. Since coming home, Saint has come back with a strong foundation and so much progress, and we feel confident continuing to help him grow into a well-behaved, happy pup. The communication and care throughout the process made us feel really comfortable, and we’re very grateful for the support and guidance we received. Amazing place! Irish trained our dog Prince for 3 weeks and did an amazing job. Before Prince was very reactive, would jump up and would sometimes come to his name and now he's a different dog. We understand now how Prince functions out in public and needs his space, he doesn't jump up anymore and comes back to his name. His loose leash walking has improved. Thank you so very much to Irish and the Kip team. You were so amazing and always kept us informed of Prince's progress, we are very happy with the result and will continue with his training :)

KIP Lake Macquaire has looked after my girl twice. The first time was an overnight stay and the second was a 2 week stay. I can not recommend KIP enough! I travelled from Penrith all the way up to Lake Macquaire area because I trusted them with my fur baby! The daily photos and videos provided on the online portal are not only comforting while you're not with your baby, they let you see them florish and have fun while they are there. Everyone that works there are amazing with the animals and you can tell they are all animal lovers themselves. My girl is extremely nervous and shy around strangers and in new enviroments so during her longer stay I booked her in for training days to work on her confidence and help with her nerves around new people. She was not always fond of some males due to previous experiences before I rescued her when she was younger so I was delightfully surprised to see her working really well and loving trainer Irish during her time there. In the videos you could see my girl absolutely adored him and he even got cuddles and was allowed to give her favourite bum scratches. The daily report cards of her progress was also something I looked forward to so I was able to see her continued growth and a final report cards of her overall stay really showed that see settled in knowing she was eating as normal and going to the toilet regularly (she doesn't when she is in strangers places). If you're needing a place for your fur baby to stay and your wondering where to board them, KIP is definitely the place :)

Sending our toy cavoodle, Marlo, to the 3-week board and train program at Kip Lake Macquarie was the best decision we have ever made. Before the program, we were constantly dealing with jumping, nuisance barking around the house, a poor recall and intense emotional reactiveness. It was stressful for both us and Marlo, but the results from this program have given us peace of mind and direction. Marlo has experienced a massive shift in mindset, our little guy is much calmer and handles his old triggers so much better! Our trainer, Irish, was great throughout the entire process sending us many updates in emails photos and videos. It made us feel completely safe leaving Marlo in such capable, professional hands as he laid the foundations for our dog. What we appreciated most was the seamless handover at the end of the stay. Irish gave us clear instructions to maintain Marlo's great new behaviors at home. We could not recommend Kip enough for training or boarding!

I honestly cannot recommend Irish and the team at Kip Lake Macquarie highly enough. From the moment Astrid started the program, I received regular updates including photos and videos which made me feel so reassured and involved in her progress the entire time she was there. You can tell the team genuinely care about the dogs and the outcomes they achieve. They also gave me access to a training program so I could learn alongside Astrid and continue reinforcing everything at home, which I really appreciated. The handover session alone was incredible. Irish spent around 2 hours with me going through everything properly, showing me how much Astrid had improved, explaining her training clearly, and making sure I understood how to continue everything at home. It never felt rushed and he was so patient, supportive, and passionate about helping both Astrid and me succeed long term. Astrid has already shown noticeable improvements in her engagement, focus, responsiveness, loose leash walking, and ability to stay calmer around distractions. I also really appreciated that they carefully exposed her to different environments as she became ready, rather than rushing her or overwhelming her. What stood out most to me was how realistic and honest the training was. Irish explained what foundations had been built, what still needs work, and gave me a clear and achievable plan to continue progressing at home. The communication, professionalism, support, and genuine care really stood out to me. You can tell this is far more than “just a job” to Irish. At one point he even said he was going to miss Astrid, and when I mentioned it must be hard saying goodbye to the dogs he works with, he told me that is actually the hardest part of his job. That really stuck with me because you can genuinely see how much he cares about the animals, the owners, and helping dogs succeed in the real world. The program is definitely an investment, but in my opinion it was absolutely worth it for the level of care, communication, support, and knowledge we received. I’m extremely grateful for everything they’ve done for Astrid and I would absolutely recommend Irish and the team to anyone considering training for their dog.

We had a great experience with the board and train program at Kip Lake Macquarie. Our two dogs finished the program calmer, more settled and with new skills. They have also been better able to engage in training since they got home. The handover was really good and we feel much better equipped to continue their training. The trainers were excellent and it was clear they really care about connecting with the dogs and tailoring the training to their personalities. Would recommend!

Our biggest challenges with our Staffy were excitement, impulse control and jumping, and the progress we saw was honestly incredible. Not only did they work through these behaviours during the program, but the handover was just as valuable. They took the time to teach us how to continue the training at home, explained the “why” behind the methods, and made everything feel achievable and realistic for everyday life. Our dog Titan, came back calmer, more responsive, and with much better manners — and we felt confident continuing the training instead of feeling lost once the program ended. You can tell they genuinely care about setting both the dog and owners up for long-term success. Highly recommend to anyone needing help with an excitable dog or wanting real, lasting results.

This week I picked up my AM Staffie after 3 weeks training. Irish is such a gentle man and really loves the dogs. Our misty stayed at Kip over the Xmas/nye break and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Also loved the daily clips of her playtime 🥰
I had a great experience with Kip for my golden retriever so enrolled my German shepherd with them, We had two different trainers for her and at the end of the day since doing the training and despite my son doing daily training with her she is worse. I was pulled over twice by her on the beach due to her reactivity to other dogs, which was the whole reason I sent her. I wanted her trained on the Halti instead she ended up on a slip lead which has ended up burning through my hand. I have had to put her back on a Halti which she has gone backwards on. The trainer who took us for change over was hard to understand and despite his best efforts we are now having to get a behaviour specialist to help us before we make the dreaded decision to rehome her if we cant correct the behaviour.
Have just completed a 3 week board and training course for our 18 month old Labrador, Flo. Irish has done an amazing job in helping her with impulse control , walking without pulling on the lead, and staying in her bed. He has an obvious high level expertise with training, and the results have been more than we expected. We will be back again later in the year with Flo for more sessions with Irish. He was excellent and a credit to Kip!

Kips far exceeded our expectations. We were anxious to leave Boo Boo anywhere, but once he we started to receive the lovely videos of him playing with his new friends and being loved and cared for by the staff, we were able to really enjoy our holiday. We also booked him in with Irish for some one on one training (videos and report card provided) and we just knew he was having an absolute ball. The pick up and drop off service is fabulous too. My boxer dog Harlei had a great time staying at Kip, when I picked her up she gave the staff a farewell lick and didn’t want to leave and would have been happy to stay for longer. The staff are really friendly & knowledgeable and sent me updates everyday with them playing with Harlei. I will be using them again and feel good to know my girl is having a holiday too. My boxer dog Harlei had a great time staying at Kip, when I picked her up she gave the staff a farewell lick and didn’t want to leave and would have been happy to stay for longer. The staff are really friendly & knowledgeable and sent me updates everyday with them playing with Harlei. I will be using them again and feel good to know my girl is having a holiday too. We had an amazing experience at Kip with their board & train program and in particular our dog's trainer Irish. Our biggest challenges with our Staffy were excitement, impulse control and jumping, and the progress we saw was honestly incredible. Not only did they work through these behaviours during the program, but the handover was just as valuable. They took the time to teach us how to continue the training at home, explained the “why” behind the methods, and made everything feel achievable and realistic for everyday life. Our dog Titan, came back calmer, more responsive, and with much better manners — and we felt confident continuing the training instead of feeling lost once the program ended. You can tell they genuinely care about setting both the dog and owners up for long-term success. Highly recommend to anyone needing help with an excitable dog or wanting real, lasting results.

This week I picked up my AM Staffie after 3 weeks training. Irish is such a gentle man and really loves the dogs. Because of Irishes fantastic training I now have a calmer dog that I am working hard with to continue to train. I cannot thank Irish enough for the wonderful work he has done with Paulie. Our misty stayed at Kip over the Xmas/nye break and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Also loved the daily clips of her playtime 🥰
I had a great experience with Kip for my golden retriever so enrolled my German shepherd with them, We had two different trainers for her and at the end of the day since doing the training and despite my son doing daily training with her she is worse. I was pulled over twice by her on the beach due to her reactivity to other dogs, which was the whole reason I sent her. I wanted her trained on the Halti instead she ended up on a slip lead which has ended up burning through my hand. I have had to put her back on a Halti which she has gone backwards on. The trainer who took us for change over was hard to understand and despite his best efforts we are now having to get a behaviour specialist to help us before we make the dreaded decision to rehome her if we cant correct the behaviour.
Have just completed a 3 week board and training course for our 18 month old Labrador, Flo. Irish has done an amazing job in helping her with impulse control , walking without pulling on the lead, and staying in her bed. As pet pawrents ourselves, we know that leaving your pet for the first time can be stressful! That’s why we’ve created a boarding experience that feels like a true retreat. Every stay includes a comfortable room, daily playtime with our team, free photo /video updates, and premium kibble meals. You’re also welcome to tour the accommodation beforehand for extra peace of mind.
Whether your dog’s racing around our grassy yards or your cat’s lounging in the sun, we’re confident they’ll love their stay.
To ensure everyone’s safety, please make sure that all pets are up to date with all vaccinations, and a certificate must be presented.

Industry-Recognised Board & Train Dog Training Program
Kip Lake Macquarie offers an industry-recognised Board & Train Program that ensures a cohesive relationship between you and your pooch. This is our most popular program and can help with many challenging behaviours, including:
- jumping all over you and your guests,
- having selective hearing,
- reacting to other dogs and/or
- pulling on the leash
At the end of the program, your trainer will meet with you for a comprehensive handover session, as well as providing you with a complimentary follow-up session and ongoing support on your training journey with your dog. We believe that dog training is about developing trust in your relationship and achieving life goals together. Start your furry friend on the right paw.

FAQs
Our vaccination policy for pet boarding is as follows:
Vaccination Requirement: Your pet must be vaccinated, and the vaccination must be valid for the entire duration of your pet's stay.
- Puppies may board 10 days after their final puppy vaccines as long as they are C5 or equivalent.
- Kittens may board 10 days after their final kitten vaccines as long as they are F3 or equivalent.
- Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 (or equivalent) vaccination.
- Cats must have an up-to-date F3 vaccination.
10-Day Rule: If your pet's previous vaccination had lapsed by more than 14 days, the new vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before the check-in date.
Vaccination Documentation: You are required to provide proof of your pet’s current vaccination. If your pet is checking in within 10 days of their most recent vaccination, we also require the certificate from their immediate prior vaccination.
We are able to care for pets if they’re not desexed. We do not take dogs in heat across our centres. To the extent your dog comes into heat whilst in our care, we will require an emergency contact to pick them up within 24 hours of being notified. We will not accommodate entire males in the same room as undesexed females.
We provide door-to-door transport from major metro cities for $35 one way. You will be contacted by the driver with an estimated arrival time the day before your booking commences.
Absolutely! Simply contact us directly so our team can organise the best time for you to tour the premises.
Absolutely! For an extra $6/pet/day, we can administer medication to your pets. Please provide all medication in a marked vet bag and provide enough medication for the entire duration of their stay.
We sure can, for an extra fee of $3.50/day! Please provide all required food, clearly marked and labelled. Please inform staff if your dog has any food allergies.
