She has stayed with Kips may times now and has become home from home, making our travel plans much easier, and giving us peace of mind knowing our baby will be well taken care off where she can socialize in a friendly safe environment with her furry friends. My dog, Ollie, recently stayed at Kip Lake Macquarie for the Board and Train programme. I was an anxious mess leading up to his stay as we’ve never done boarding and I’ve had negative experiences with dog trainers in the past who have suggested poor methods. On arrival, you can see and feel the passion and love the team at Kip have for animals. I knew Ollie would be a bit of a difficult egg to crack, but Amanda and the team at Kip applied their expertise and passion to help Ollie and our home life. Before Kip, Ollie was almost entirely unwalkable, he would drag me down the street and could be abit of an escape artist when it came to harnesses and collars. He has selective dog reactivity (he’s not a fan of most male dogs), and I would struggle to retain his attention if we came across one. He also suffers from noise sensitivity; lawn mowers, the odd airplane, and of all things, the bell on our local ice cream truck! After Kip, Ollie now knows how to walk loose leash, and we are able to regain his attention if he sees a trigger. Ollie has learnt different commands through the power of positive reinforcement. The at home training modules were very beneficial in teaching us and instilling confidence in the methods that we would be using once he came back home. You receive photo and video updates throughout the stay which is great. You also get an hour to two hour handover at the end where the trainer will teach you everything they have worked on with your dog. You also get a handover email listing any equipment/toys/food etc. Kip will not “fix” all issues within 3 weeks, but set up the structure for ongoing training to create a more positive home environment for everyone. Would definitely recommend this investment to everyone!

It was the first time I use a hotel dog service and i was a bit unsure about it but the Kip team were very helpful helping me to understand about the service and also assuring the doggies had everything they need while staying there. They send us videos and pictures everyday and cared for little details and I felt very happy with the service, professionalism and level of care for the dogs. Our both dogs were very happy at pick up and I'm very satisfied with the service. I strongly recommend it!
