These classes are suitable for dogs aged 21 weeks and over. Each session runs for approximately 1 hour over six weeks (there are no Saturday classes on long weekends). The sessions will cover:

This is the class for anyone who wants a calmer dog on lead and to make sure that their dog comes when they are called. Each session runs for approximately 45 minutes over four weeks (there are no Saturday classes on long weekends)
Dogs who have the skills and training to walk on a loose lead are walked more often and have more fun!
Three highly qualified trainers guide you through revision and practical experience including street walks and park visits.

These classes are suitable for people and dogs that have attended our Puppy or Basic Obedience classes and want to develop more advanced training skills (It is recommended that you have completed the Walk and Recall Class too). Each session runs for approximately 1 hour over six weeks (there are no Saturday classes on long weekends). The sessions will cover:
We are going to build on what you already know and make you a better trainer by giving you more opportunities to practice training different skills. This class is designed for you to be able to work at your own level in a class of dogs at differing training levels and designed to be able to complete the course multiple times.
Example course outline is:
- Week 1 – Lead handling – Loose lead walking – Stand – Drop
- Week 2 – REA – Rear End Awareness – teaching your dog they have a butt.
- Week 3 – Heeling
- Week 4 – Sits – Understanding the 3 D’s – strengthening the release
- Week 5 – Chaining – Understanding the links between behaviour
- Week 6 – Free Shaping – teaching your dog to think

Our prices are not fixed and can be altered at our discretion. We’ll inform you 14 days prior in case you want to cancel your membership, with no penalty.
When you join us at Kip Doggy day care Hobart, we’ll throw in a free daycare day for you to use whenever you wish! We charge for the upcoming week of daycare on a Saturday, and payments are automatically withdrawn for any other services you utilise.
At Kip, we want your dog to blossom. Our trial days are great for making new friends and for developing your pup’s social skills. We never want our new dogs to feel overwhelmed, unsafe, or anxious, so we hand select a group from our current dogs we believe will be best suited to your pup’s paw-sonality. We understand that our newest pooches might need a few sessions to come out of their shell, so we encourage return visits so that they can get to know the whole gang and warm up to life at Kip Dog Day Care Hobart.
Our team of expert dog carers will watch over your pup at all times to monitor for aggression or any anti-social behaviours. They’ll be there to put a stop to anything immediately, in the unlikely event that play turns ugly.
