Kip offers dog boarding services in Tasmania in Hobart. Our team also offers a convenient pet transport service to pick up and drop off your dog from your home for added convenience.

If you require some extra flexibility, we also offer transport from our Tasmanian daycares - we simply ask that they’re social and up to date with vaccinations.

Things To Know for Boarding Your Dog in Tasmania

Kip offers more than just a place for your dog to stay, and we understand that you want the very best care for your dog. To ensure the safety and well-being of all pets, we require dogs to be vaccinated with C5 (or equivalent) and treated for fleas and ticks. While we do not require desexing, we are unable to accept dogs that are in heat.

For a tour of our Tasmania facilities, we kindly ask you to schedule ahead. We are unable to accommodate last-minute visits or provide tours during drop-off times to ensure everything runs smoothly for all pets and owners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my dog get enough exercise during their stay in Tasmania?

Yes! At Kip, we ensure all dogs receive plenty of outdoor time for exercise and play. We have dedicated areas for dogs to explore, play with toys, and interact with our staff. You can also add extra activities to their stay to keep them entertained.

What kind of updates will I receive about my dog during their stay?

You’ll receive regular updates through your Customer Portal, including photos/videos on how your dog is settling in and playing, so you’ll always know what they’re up to during their stay with us.

What are your requirements for dog boarding in Tasmania?

Your dog must meet the vaccination requirements to board with us:

  • Puppies may board 10 days after their final puppy vaccines if they are C5 or equivalent.
  • Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 (or equivalent) vaccine and an annual Canine Cough vaccination.

We do not take dogs in heat across our centres. To the extent your dog comes into heat whilst in our care, we will require an emergency contact to pick them up within 24 hours of being notified. We will not accommodate entire males in the same room as undesexed females.
