Kip boasts expansive green grounds with plenty of room to run, play and relax! Let your pets enjoy our comfortable rooms with indoor and outdoor sections, and enjoy bushwalks in the gorgeous countryside of rural Melbourne.
Monday-Friday: 8:00-11:00am, 2:00-5:00pm
Saturday: 8:00-11:00am
Sunday: 2:00-5:00pm
Public Holidays: as advised
We offer door-to-door transport across the city. This service is run Monday to Friday (subject to availability) and is not offered on public holidays. This service can be added as part of the booking process and takes the stress out of getting your pet to or from their holiday.

Classic Room
From $55/day
Your pup’s home away from home is a spacious indoor and outdoor room with air conditioning for year-round comfort. They'll love relaxing on plush bedding after exploring their private outdoor area.
Seniors Suite
From $66/day
Our Seniors Suite, for small dogs aged 7+ (under 12kg), offers a peaceful, indoor retreat with air conditioning, a supportive sofa-style bed, and a calm environment.
Luxury Villa
From $86/day
For pups who enjoy a little extra, our spacious villas offer indoor and outdoor areas. They can explore their private outdoor space, then relax on sofa-style bedding with soothing TV content and air conditioning for year-round comfort.

We offer daily administration of medication, following your vet's instructions to ensure your pet's routine is maintained during their stay.

This is the first time my boy Sunny has been left in the care of a pet boarding service so I was a bit nervous leaving him. With all the photos and short videos of him playing with other dogs and very happy put my mind at ease. The staff are very friendly and reassuring. I wouldn’t hesitate in sending him again.
We absolutely love Kip Melbourne West, and so does our dog Gus. He's always so eager to go there that he gleefully jumps in their van and doesn't look back. The staff are terrific and they genuinely care for the pets, and their support service is terrific. We really love the photo updates they send each day too. Photos of Gus on his bushwalks, having fun! They are definitely the best kennel we've ever used.
The team at Kip were amazing. They were so good with our two very nervous, difficult dogs, and as it was the first time we left them anywhere we were very nervous ourselves. The dogs settled in well and we will definitely be repeat customers when we next need to go away. Thank you!
Excellent!! My Layna ( Jack Russel ) loved her first stay at KIP! I really thought she’s not gonna want to go home!! Totally will be taking her there again for more holidays!!! Such lovely caring staff. I have total confidence in their loving care!!
Daily photo and updates were great, they put our mind at ease when leaving them for a few nights when we had to go away. Both dogs looked so happy in every update. I emailed after the first night to get a more detailed update (stressed doggy mum and dad) and received a quick and very detailed response. Being able to drop them off at a closer location and have them collected from there was so helpful as I wouldn’t have been able to get them to the boarding kennels with work. The report card and Polaroid photo of them on pick up was such a cute touch, this is now on our fridge. You can tell the staff genuinely care about the pets that they look after, will absolutely be using again in future when needed!

I was particularly impressed by the level of care given to Zoe. She came home happy and just her usual self. You listened well to my information about Zoe. Loved the daily photos and videos. All helped to make me feel relaxed and confident about her time with you. Will definitely use your facilities for Zoe again
I was reluctant to travel overseas due to concern for my 2 pups who are like children to me and my husband. After numerous research we decided on Kip and cannot be more pleased with our decision. I received daily photos and updates, sometimes twice a day, and it was clear that my pups were thoroughly enjoying their stay. They looked so happy that I said to my husband that I’m worried they might not want to come home 😂. My dogs are not the easiest as they don’t get along with strange dogs but the lady at Kip ensured that they were kept seperate and received lots of love and cuddles. She also spent one on one time with them in their room when it was raining. She was really amazing and my pups adored her. The accomodation could not have been any better, they had comfy beds and a Tv, all the luxuries they have at home. They loved their regular walks in the bush and I could not stop smiling whilst watching the videos of them exploring and searching for rabbits. On the day that we collected our pups we were given a rapport card and a photo on how they performed during their stay. It was such a special touch and I was overwhelmed reading the beautiful comments. Thank you to everyone at Kip and especially the lady that took such amazing care of Coco and Frankie, I will definitely return and highly recommend Kip to anyone that might be hesitant to leave their pups with anyone else. I have tried other dog resorts previously and have not had the same great experiences. Kip loves animals as much as you love your pups 🐶
I know our little Tailor had the best time while we were away! The daily photos and videos were so amazing to see and in every vid and photo our dog was soooo happy! It made our time away a lot more enjoyable knowing our fur baby was enjoying her holiday too. Highly recommend

Oh MY LORD- I got my two babies back - BETTER THAN HOW I SENT THEM TO YOU LOVE 💙 is a mummy’s boy who was anxious about everything I do… but now sits and watches me and walkes calmly… it’s like he’s experienced something better and wonders why’s he back in our cramped one bedroom apartment… And Luna- well little Miss Independence is not grumpy 😡 and she’s out asking for cuddles and food- she’s got gumption! I’m definitely going to be booking them in for regular CAMP-outs with KIP WEST

Our first time ever boarding our two Bichons, and as a very nervous dog parent, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at ease — they are true dog people who genuinely care. The facility is fantastic, set close to nature with plenty of space, making it both comfortable and enriching for all the pups. Most importantly, our boys were happy, settled, and clearly well cared for throughout their stay. We absolutely loved receiving daily photo and video updates, which made such a difference and gave us so much reassurance that they were having a great time. You could really see the attention, patience, and love the team gives to every pup. We picked up two very happy pups and wouldn’t hesitate to board them again at Kip Melbourne West. Highly recommend — especially for fellow nervous first-timers!
We had such a wonderful experience with Kip while our GSD stayed for just over two weeks. From day one, the team were incredibly warm, welcoming, and reassuring, which made the transition so much easier for both us and our dog. We really appreciated the daily updates, as it gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was settling in and being cared for. You can genuinely tell how much they care about the pets in their care. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend.
From the moment my fur baby was picked up, to his drop off back at our house, Kip was exceptional. It was obvious that the staff love their jobs and the animals they care for. In the daily photos that I was sent, my cat looked comfortable and well cared for. I was so happy to see him snuggling up with his carers and relaxing on his very own cat balcony! I will definitely be using Kip again.

Amazing max has been boarding for years now the team have gone above beyond to take care of little max he comes home more confident every time he loves interacting with his neighbours and follows the staff around .he has come out of being very shy and nervous can’t wait to come back thank you once again

My dogs have never been away from us before. I was hesitant. However, the communication from Kip was fantastic with updated photos and little messages. We absolutely love our dogs. But now we have found Kip. We have found some freedom to be able to travel again. The collection and drop off was amazingly smooth and easy. Our dogs were returned. Healthy. Clean. Calm and I will not hesitate to leave them with the Kip team again. To all at Kip who lovingly took care of our treasures. A big Thank-you. Andria
We are so glad that our puppy Akio had his first kennel experience at KIP Melbourne West. We really like for him to socialise and have friends of his own age (6 months old) because he does not have any playmate because most of my friends dogs are all seniors now. KIP was able to give Akio that kind of experience looking at the awesome photos and videos they sent us. Thank you KIP and Akio is looking forward to come back this weekend.

Our beautiful Viszla Nala just finished a 5 week stay and absolutely loved it. She can be a bit high maintenance but the team here were amazing. The daily photos mean you can relax and enjoy your holiday knowing your other family is safe and happy. Communication throughout was great too. We won’t ever look elsewhere. We love this team!!
Oh MY LORD- I got my two babies back - BETTER THAN HOW I SENT THEM TO YOU LOVE 💙 is a mummy’s boy who was anxious about everything I do… but now sits and watches me and walkes calmly… it’s like he’s experienced something better and wonders why’s he back in our cramped one bedroom apartment… And Luna- well little Miss Independence is not grumpy 😡 and she’s out asking for cuddles and food- she’s got gumption! I’m definitely going to be booking them in for regular CAMP-outs with KIP WEST

They looked after my mum's aggressive attack cat and managed to pet her and cuddle her. Extraordinary effort put in. Been to other kennels. These guys are number one in pet care. It truly is a pet resort

Our first time ever boarding our two Bichons, and as a very nervous dog parent, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at ease — they are true dog people who genuinely care. The facility is fantastic, set close to nature with plenty of space, making it both comfortable and enriching for all the pups. Most importantly, our boys were happy, settled, and clearly well cared for throughout their stay. We absolutely loved receiving daily photo and video updates, which made such a difference and gave us so much reassurance that they were having a great time. You could really see the attention, patience, and love the team gives to every pup. We picked up two very happy pups and wouldn’t hesitate to board them again at Kip Melbourne West. Highly recommend — especially for fellow nervous first-timers!
We had such a wonderful experience with Kip while our GSD stayed for just over two weeks. From day one, the team were incredibly warm, welcoming, and reassuring, which made the transition so much easier for both us and our dog. We really appreciated the daily updates, as it gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was settling in and being cared for. You can genuinely tell how much they care about the pets in their care. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend.
From the moment my fur baby was picked up, to his drop off back at our house, Kip was exceptional. It was obvious that the staff love their jobs and the animals they care for. In the daily photos that I was sent, my cat looked comfortable and well cared for. I was so happy to see him snuggling up with his carers and relaxing on his very own cat balcony! I will definitely be using Kip again.
Our pup has stayed here twice, both times the service and staff have been phenomenal. 100% recommend Kip boarding services, our pup Pascal always has the best time there.
Amazing max has been boarding for years now the team have gone above beyond to take care of little max he comes home more confident every time he loves interacting with his neighbours and follows the staff around .he has come out of being very shy and nervous can’t wait to come back thank you once again

What you need to know about your visit
As pet pawrents ourselves, we know that leaving your pet for the first time can be stressful! That’s why we’ve created a boarding experience that feels like a true retreat. Every stay includes a comfortable room, daily playtime with our team, free photo /video updates, and premium kibble meals. You’re also welcome to tour the accommodation beforehand for extra peace of mind.
Whether your dog’s racing around our grassy yards or your cat’s lounging in the sun, we’re confident they’ll love their stay.
To ensure everyone’s safety, please make sure that all pets are up to date with all vaccinations, and a certificate must be presented.

Our vaccination policy for pet boarding is as follows:
Vaccination Requirement: Your pet must be vaccinated, and the vaccination must be valid for the entire duration of your pet's stay.
- Puppies may board 10 days after their final puppy vaccines as long as they are C5 or equivalent.
- Kittens may board 10 days after their final kitten vaccines as long as they are F3 or equivalent.
- Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 (or equivalent) vaccination.
- Cats must have an up-to-date F3 vaccination.
10-Day Rule: If your pet's previous vaccination had lapsed by more than 14 days, the new vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before the check-in date.
Vaccination Documentation: You are required to provide proof of your pet’s current vaccination. If your pet is checking in within 10 days of their most recent vaccination, we also require the certificate from their immediate prior vaccination.
We are able to care for pets if they’re not desexed. We do not take dogs in heat across our centres. To the extent your dog comes into heat whilst in our care, we will require an emergency contact to pick them up within 24 hours of being notified. We will not accommodate entire males in the same room as undesexed females.
We provide door-to-door transport from major metro cities for $35 one way. You will be contacted by the driver with an estimated arrival time the day before your booking commences.
Absolutely! Simply contact us directly so our team can organise the best time for you to tour the premises.
Absolutely! For an extra $6/pet/day, we can administer medication to your pets. Please provide all medication in a marked vet bag and provide enough medication for the entire duration of their stay.
We sure can, for an extra fee of $3.50/day! Please provide all required food, clearly marked and labelled. Please inform staff if your dog has any food allergies.
