I got my dog from the pound 2 years ago, since then I have been through 4 professional trainers, because he was so reactive to other animals, but in the end I gave up. I heard about Kip and decided to give them a chance, and the result after the 3 week course was worth the money, he was taught all the basic skills he needs, so now I only have to build on the skills that they taught us. The trainers have done an amazing job getting him to the point where he is much easier to walk on a lead and he is far less reactive.
Daisy was very reactive to other dogs and people, pulled hard on the lead all the time and was difficult to get in and out of the car. We are truly amazed at the progress that was made and also that we have been able to continue to get the same results at home.
Highly recommend if you have a reactive pup! To watch her walk past another dog calmly on lead was something that seemed out of reach, and continuing this training will enable us to include her in more of our daily life.
One was incredibly reactive with lunging and barking at strangers and dogs, the other excessively whinged. Within days the girls behaviours had dropped dramatically. Walking on leads, sitting on command and massive reduction in reacting to strangers.
Our rescue furbaby, Cleo, was booked in for the 21 day board and train for reactivity, anxiousness and lack of confidence. At our handover upon picking her up we were so happy to see Cleo was able to be near another dog and be non reactive , in fact she paid no attention to it. Also she learnt to walk on her lead with no anxiety and enjoyed the walk.
We dropped our reactive dog Tyson off for the first time, Couldn’t recommend it enough! Staff are well able for all situations. We received a picture and video of him on our profile and so good to see how he was settling in. Surprisingly he didn’t react and cannot wait to go back!!
Amazing place! Before Prince was very reactive, would jump up and would sometimes come to his name and now he's a different dog. We understand now how Prince functions out in public and needs his space, he doesn't jump up anymore and comes back to his name.
Before the program, she was highly reactive, barking, jumping, and struggling on walks. By the handover, Bailey was calmer, more focused, and walking beautifully on a loose leash. She has settled back at home wonderfully, and we’re continuing to use the techniques we were taught.

Board & Train

Designed for dogs with more complex behaviour challenges.
Your dog stays with us for around 3 weeks and works closely with our trainers each day to build better habits, confidence, and control.
We’ll keep you updated throughout the stay and guide you through everything at handover so you feel confident continuing at home.

Our trainers will recommend the most suitable program and length. Some behaviours may require additional time (25-30 days) to work through effectively.

In most cases, yes. Reactivity is driven by emotion, not disobedience, and with the right approach it can be significantly reduced. Our programs are built specifically for this, not adapted from general obedience training.
We hear this a lot. Most general training programs aren't designed for reactivity. Our approach addresses what's driving the behaviour emotionally, not just the behaviour itself.
Our standard Board and Train program runs 21 days. Some dogs with more complex behaviours benefit from a longer program of 25-30 days. Our trainers will recommend the right length after an initial assessment.
You receive a comprehensive in-person handover where you will get a chance to go over the skills your dog learnt during the program, so you feel confident continuing at home. You also get a complimentary follow-up session one month after the program, plus access to ongoing support from your trainer.
