At Kip, our trainers take the time to understand your dog, your lifestyle, and your goals before recommending anything. The first step is simply a conversation.

Board & Train
From $149/day
2-3 Week Program. Designed for dogs with more complex behaviour challenges.
Your dog stays with us for 21 days and works closely with our trainers each day to build better habits, confidence, and control. This is ideal for dogs struggling with reactivity, anxiety, or more difficult behaviours that need consistent, hands-on support.
We’ll keep you updated throughout the stay and guide you through everything at handover so you feel confident continuing at home.
Behaviour examples that may be addressed:
- Reactivity (dogs or people)
- Anxiety or low confidence
- Pulling or difficult walks
- Over-arousal or poor impulse control
Our trainers will guide you on the most suitable program and length. Some behaviours require additional time (25-30 days) to work through effectively.

This is an exceptional boarding place. Our dog loved it and he has difficulty with other dogs. We loved the photo updates of his stay and the staff are accommodating.
My 8 year old Kelpie cross Poppy had 5 days at Kip. She has never boarded before, so I was nervous about leaving her as she has anxiety and is used to human company 24/7. I received updates twice a day, with terrific photos and news about her, which eased my concerns. When we picked her up, she was tired but happy. I would happily take her to Kip again. The staff are absolutely terrific, and the facility is great. She stayed in a luxury room, which gave her something as close to her home comforts as possible. Thank you Kip Canberra.
We have left our precious pups with Kip on several occasions and sometimes I wonder whether they want to come home.

We put our 1.5 yr old mini groodle into a 21 day board and train. While we had done some ground work of basic obedience at home we found that we were challenged on a daily basis by our highly intelligent dog. The 21 day board and train worked as a beautiful reset for us and our dog. The whole family worked through the online learning modules which helped us to better understand where our errors had been when working Memphis previously. Janet and Aiden did a fantastic job with Memphis and when we were all reunited we were able to see the results of their patience and dedication to help shape more positive behaviours from our boy. The handover was thorough was a fantastic opportunity to be reassured that yes, our dog was highly intelligent (and likes to play the system a bit) butyes he is a beautiful dog who works to please. Our connection with him since being home is signifcantly better and we are continung on with his training and trying various methods (as taught by the program) to keep his mind working with and without us. Thank you to Janet and Aiden for all your support.
I booked my cavoodle for a week for the first time into Kip! It completely exceeded my expectation. From customer service, daily updates and photos and a summary of the stay when picking up. My dog is quite anxious around other dogs but she seemed to be okay in the photos I was sent which helped us being seperate from her. I loved the addition of being able to select a different food also with booking and extend her stay due to circumstances with no issues. Highly recommend
Beau, my miniature dachshund, has been to Kip for longer vacations but only one weekend this time. Beau like the kennels very much and is well cared for.
Our dog Bella is now getting old and has medication and other needs. Kip Canberra staff looked after her with much care and kindness. Thank you so much!
Our lively Labrador loved her stay at Kip Canberra. The staff are so friendly and we love the regular updates and photos through the activity portal.
My two Burmese cats, Banjo and Velvet enjoy coming to Kip - if the photos are anything to go by! The staff are wonderful and caring and obviously enjoy working at Kip. I so appreciate receiving photos of Banjo and Vevet during their stay and I have every confidence they are well cared for. I have no hesitation in recommending Kip to look after your pets.
My Mastiff returned home happy and healthy and from the daily clips of his activity, thoroughly enjoyed his long weekend.

Had to board my dog (Luke) while getting evaluated for surgery. I was worried about how the experience would be for him since he's very skittish around strangers. The team at Kip sent daily photos of him during playtime which helped reassure me that he was in good hands. When I picked him up, he was very happy and as soon as I came home he was back to his usual self which is indicative of a very good boarding experience. Highly recommend this place! Prices are fair for the quality of service as well.
Cannot recommend this place enough. My dog loves staying at Kip and it’s clear that the staff love and care for the dogs under their care, we love the daily photos and updates, especially when overseas. He always comes back a little chubby, and that is more than ok for us, knowing he’s happy, eating his food and getting playtime daily. He’s also washed well when we get him back, and smells really nice.

Thanks Kip Canberra for the care and attention given to both us and our dogs during their first boarding experience. Our typically anxious dog came home happy, healthy and clearly got a lot of pats, cuddles and special attention. The process from booking to pick up was seamless. The Kip app is great and we loved the daily updates and videos.
I had a lovely chat with Kirstin on the phone today! I was looking at different kennels for my dog to stay while we are away, and she was so helpful and informative with all my questions. I will definitely be bringing my pup here!

My dogs have been staying there on and off for many years and they love it, and their carers. My new dachshund Matilda spent 3 weeks there recently and enjoyed the training package. She learnt a lot and was very happy and full of energy when I picked her up today. As always I picked up a happy and healthy girl. I received photos of my girl daily that showed her active and happy. I can’t recommend Kip highly enough, as my girl is always happy when I pick her up.
Our dog stayed with Kip for almost 6 weeks. During that time we were sent daily updates including pics and videos. Kip also went out of their way to help with a medication issue. We cannot recommend them enough! We came back to a happy dog who clearly had a great time with Kip!!

I have been using the team at Kip Canberra for all our pet "resort" care needs. Both dogs love to visit for a weekend or a week (or two) too. The service from all staff members has always been fantastic. We love the regular photo updates posted by the carers, they always appear to be having a great time. Daily play time and bushwalks keep them entertained and engaged. They were looking and smelling great after Kip Care, unexpectedly, bathed them, at their last visit, too. From arrival to pickup we were very impressed and completely reassured our pets were in safe hands.
We have two chow chow’s who we know can be quite difficult to manage but they have both stayed with Kip a few times now and we have been really happy with their services. Our girls always come back so happy and eventually the staff are able to win them over with cuddles 😃 it’s nice to get the daily or so updates while away as well. We would definitely recommend kip to others in Canberra.

Couldn't be happier that this facility was recommended! This place is second to none and the staff, not only super friendly but completely invested in the well being of your pet 😄 I was somewhat nervous about leaving my beautiful boy (blue heeler) for 3 weeks, but they made me feel at ease and kept me informed with regular updates, including snaps and videos! Words can't express how grateful we are to the staff at Kip Kennels Canberra. The staff and the facilities are wonderfully appointed. It has been designed and built for the comfort and fun of all animals who come to stay. The minute you turn up you can tell the staff enjoy and love what they do. We were lucky enough to have such an amazing team care for our beautiful family member Sophie. We love the pictures and the updates , especially the phone calls when our little girl had some complex needs. Recently she passed away after 15 years of being loved. The incredible compassionate team at Kip , sent flowers and a card of condolences, which we thank them for from the bottom of our hearts. We thank you for the love and care to both human and animals alike. And look forward to using the service again when we decide it's time to open our hearts to another animal.

Our dog stayed with Kip for almost 6 weeks. During that time we were sent daily updates including pics and videos. Kip also went out of their way to help with a medication issue. We cannot recommend them enough! We came back to a happy dog who clearly had a great time with Kip!!

I have been using the team at Kip Canberra for all our pet "resort" care needs. Both dogs love to visit for a weekend or a week (or two) too. The service from all staff members has always been fantastic. We love the regular photo updates posted by the carers, they always appear to be having a great time. Daily play time and bushwalks keep them entertained and engaged. They were looking and smelling great after Kip Care, unexpectedly, bathed them, at their last visit, too. Kip takes such good care of our dog whenever we go away! She can be an anxious girl and the team at Kip look after her so well and we are so appreciative of the daily updates we get while we’re away 😊
From arrival to pickup we were very impressed and completely reassured our pets were in safe hands.
We have two chow chow’s who we know can be quite difficult to manage but they have both stayed with Kip a few times now and we have been really happy with their services. Our girls always come back so happy and eventually the staff are able to win them over with cuddles 😃 it’s nice to get the daily or so updates while away as well. We would definitely recommend kip to others in Canberra.
Kip provides a professional boarding service and the staff care about your pet. The daily updates keeps you informed and worry free. Easy to talk to and definitely recommend. Our dog was looked after very well for 5 weeks when on holidays overseas. I will be using again.
Couldn't be happier that this facility was recommended! This place is second to none and the staff, not only super friendly but completely invested in the well being of your pet 😄 I was somewhat nervous about leaving my beautiful boy (blue heeler) for 3 weeks, but they made me feel at ease and kept me informed with regular updates, including snaps and videos! KIP for happy stays! And Annabelle is absolutely amazing!
Words can't express how grateful we are to the staff at Kip Kennels Canberra. The staff and the facilities are wonderfully appointed. It has been designed and built for the comfort and fun of all animals who come to stay. The minute you turn up you can tell the staff enjoy and love what they do. We were lucky enough to have such an amazing team care for our beautiful family member Sophie. We love the pictures and the updates , especially the phone calls when our little girl had some complex needs. Recently she passed away after 15 years of being loved. The incredible compassionate team at Kip , sent flowers and a card of condolences, which we thank them for from the bottom of our hearts. We thank you for the love and care to both human and animals alike. And look forward to using the service again when we decide it's time to open our hearts to another animal.

Cannot recommend this boarding kennel highly enough. From first contact, questions answered, dropping off through to pick up day. Very smooth and friendly process with professional care. It is the the happiest and healthiest our dog has ever been after staying at a kennel.

Our typically anxious dog came home happy, healthy and clearly got a lot of pats, cuddles and special attention. The process from booking to pick up was seamless. The Kip app is great and we loved the daily updates and videos.

My dogs have been staying there on and off for many years and they love it, and their carers. My new dachshund Matilda spent 3 weeks there recently and enjoyed the training package. She learnt a lot and was very happy and full of energy when I picked her up today. I think she will love the ongoing package of daycare training to inspire and encourage her to maintain her confidence and skills. Thank you so much Janet and the team.
Bailey loved her time at Kip Canberra. She went through the Board and Train program and there has been such a change. The learning not just for Bailey but for ourselves as well was excellent.
